"Ainsley asked me to meet him here, but I don't see him nowhere." E.L frowned as Mollie-Sue and he lingered on the bridge. It was one of their favorite haunts right there with the weeping willows drawn about them like stage curtains. Mollie-Sue hadn't never been to Louisiana City Park, neither. E.L sure hoped his buddy didn't mind him bringing a girl along. The day was too pretty to pass up on improving the view with a real pretty face.

No, she couldn't just skip out now. That would have been worse for Ainsley's sense of manhood. She had to be one of the boys instead.
She cracked a smile, poking out her tongue. "Did y'all hit a home run, Wheeler?"
